I have skinny wrists and wanted a less bulky watch than the 40 mm Tissot and TAG Heuer watches I already have. I considered to buy another, smaller watch from one of these brands, but after having read an article about the established watchmakers’ very poor environmental record, I instead searched the Internet for "sustainable watch” and found Awake brand and the Authentic.dk webshop. After having used it for three weeks, I can happily recommend both the watch and the webshop. The 36 mm model is presented by the producer as a ladies’ model, but it fits perfectly on my skinny wrist. It is light and comfortable - I barely notice it when I wear it. At the same time the watch gives a strong quality impression of solid metal and the watchband made of recycled fish nets is light and comfortable. The watch has a simple, yet stylish minimalist design without any numbers, seconds hand or date display but I don’t miss any of these features. The dial made of recycled plastic in different shades of blue also looks great. Authentic.dk is an excellent webshop. They have a good and informative website and the delivery was fast. I also appreciate the personal messages from Kenneth about the preparation and delivery of the order.
